About the Online Conversations
Using Pol.is
Pol.is is an online platform designed to create a community conversation or debate. This is a way for us to both collect the community's ideas and allow people to 'upvote' the other ideas they like or agree with. Pol.is will generate a report to show which ideas were most popular.
How do I vote and add my ideas?
Click on the link and you will go straight to the conversation. First, you can read the description and questions that frame the conversation and under this you will see the first statement. The statements will appear in random order. Beneath each one you can click "Agree," "Disagree," or "Pass/Unsure". Once you have responded to all the statements, there will be a message to let you know that is the end.
Under the statements box are the instructions for adding new statements and a blank box for you to write in.
What makes a good statement?
- It is a stand alone idea
- It raises a new perspective, experience or issue
- It is clear and concise (there is a limit of 140 characters).
The project team will monitor statements and add them if they fulfil these criteria and make sense in the context of the conversation about community-led recovery in Beach Haven, Birkenhead and Northcote Point.
