Rangatira Reserve. Preparation and planting day - Saturday 10th July. 10am-1pm, meeting at 79 Kia Ora Road. If you have them, please bring a spade, gloves, covered shoes or gumboots and wheelbarrows appreciated if you have one! Light refreshments provided. See you there!
Kauri Glen Reserve– Saturday 10th July 9am start. Join the Kauri Glen Halo to assist with Forest & Bird's streamside planting near Woodside Avenue. Starting at 9am, meeting at 50 Lake Road. Akoranga Reserve – Saturday 24th July 1-3pm. Family Friendly. Meeting down driveway of 60 Tonar Street, Northcote. Follow sign and flag along grass to the edge of the bush. John Kay Reserve – Saturday 31st July 10am-1pm. Family Friendly. Meet at John Kay Park (1 Verran Road). Best parking down Verran Road. Bring appropriate covered footwear, and if possible, a spade and gloves. BBQ refreshments provided so RSVP is appreciated to enquiries@pestfreekaipatiki.org.nz. Learn about native plants, lend a hand, enjoy the BBQ, and there will even be a chance to discuss whether a community garden would be suitable on the site. Join us to have your say and help make this reserve a beautiful destination.
Island Bay – Saturday 14th August, 1-3pm. Help plant the neighbourhood berm with the Island Bay Progressive League. Meet on berm at 128 Island Bay Road. Please bring study covered shoes and appropriate weather gear. This site isn’t appropriate for small children sorry. Please let us know if you are able to help (email ginetteclarke@xtra.co.nz) so we can provide sufficient refreshments.
